Google has added a new feature to their homepage which has always had a simple white background. If you have been paying attention, you will see that Google recently added a little link at the lower left hand side of your screen. It says, change your backgroud. If you click on that option, you will be asked to log into your Google account. Ones you are logged in, you will see the screenshot that allows you to choose the background you want. You double-click on your choice and that is all you need to do to get the new background.
How does it feel? It feels strange because you will be surprise not so see the usual white Google background when you go to the homepage. However, it has something fresh about it. Is it worth it? If you like to constantly change and look at something new, then you might actually like this feature.
How do you remove it?
You do this the same way as you added the Google homepage backgroud. You click on the link at the lower left of your screen that says, remove background. That is all it takes to get back to the standard white background.
A word of caution.
The Google homepage does take a few moments to load. It is not a show stopper but you will have to hold your breath for a few seconds for the image to load. It is an interesting feature that is quick to implement and will keep you amused for a while.
